Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson


Fifteen-year-old Scarlett Marvin is stuck in New York City for the summer working at her quirky family's historic hotel. But little does she know that this summer just might be one of her most memorable summers. Along the way she meet a handsome, intriguing boy who is come to NYC for summer theatre. She becomes the assistant to an eccentric older actress to Mrs. Amberson who ends up moveing into Scarlett's suite. At the same time, she takes a personal interest in Scarlett's mishaps, hatching scheme after disastrous scheme to save the hotel, resolve Scarlett's love life, and jumpstart her older brother Spencer's acting career. Johnson has created a madcap of calamities that are infused with humor, friendship and fun. A joy to read!
